Ever wish you could just call the universe and ask one question?
Like:
“Why does this relationship feel so familiar?”
“What lesson am I supposed to be learning here?”
“Why does life keep giving me the same lesson in different outfits?”
If you’ve ever found yourself wondering about deeper meaning, repeating patterns, soul connections, or simply wanting clarity, you may have already felt curious about the Akashic Records.
And trust me… you’re not alone.
(Though if you’ve ever imagined metaphorically calling the Akashic Records and being put on hold while celestial hold music plays… honestly, same!)
What Are the Akashic Records?
The Akashic Records are often described as an energetic record of the soul’s journey. Some people think of them as a vast spiritual library, while others experience them more as a field of wisdom, remembrance, and guidance.
In simple terms?
The Akashic Records are believed to hold information about your soul’s experiences, lessons, patterns, relationships, and growth.
Rather than predicting your future like a crystal ball, many people experience the Records as a source of deeper understanding.
Why does this relationship keep repeating?
Why does this fear keep showing up?
Why do certain people feel strangely familiar?
Why do some life lessons seem to arrive wearing different outfits?
(Yes… we’ll come back to that one!)
For me, I tend to view the Akashic Records as:
A sacred source of wisdom, guidance, and remembrance.
Not fear.
Not rigid destiny.
Not “everything is already written.”
More like insight into the soul-level threads that may be quietly shaping your experience.
Can Anyone Access the Akashic Records?
This is one of the most common questions I hear.
The short answer?
Possibly, yes.
But everyone experiences intuitive connection differently.
Some people receive:
images or symbols
emotions
memories
intuitive knowing
phrases or words
sensations in the body
a deep sense of clarity
And some people… sit there wondering if absolutely nothing happened.
That’s normal too.
Spiritual experiences are not always dramatic movie moments with glowing portals and booming voices from the heavens.
Sometimes it feels surprisingly subtle.
A quiet nudge.
A feeling.
A sentence that gently drops into your awareness.
An insight that suddenly makes sense three days later while you’re making coffee.
Like many intuitive practices, connecting with the Akashic Records can take patience and practice.
So if your first attempt feels unclear:
Please don’t give up.
You are not failing.
You may simply be learning how you receive information.
How to Access the Akashic Records Yourself
If you’re new to this, try approaching the Akashic Records with curiosity rather than pressure.
Think of it less like taking a test and more like opening a conversation.
Step 1: Set a Clear Intention
Before trying to access the Akashic Records, take a moment to pause and ask yourself:
What am I genuinely hoping to understand?
Intention matters.
The clearer your question, the easier it often becomes to receive meaningful guidance.
Instead of asking:
“Tell me everything about my future.”
Try:
“What lesson am I learning in this relationship?”
“What fear may be keeping me stuck?”
“What do I most need to understand right now?”
Sometimes the best questions are not:
“Why am I like this?”
But:
“What pattern am I repeating that I’m ready to understand?”
Questions to Ask the Akashic Records Instead of Google - Swipe RIGHT to read them all.
Because let’s be honest…
Google can answer a lot.
But sometimes soul-level questions need a slightly different search engine!
Step 2: Get Into a Meditative or Relaxed State
This part is important.
Many people struggle not because they “can’t access” the Akashic Records…
but because the mind is still racing at 100 miles an hour.
The quieter and more receptive you become, the easier it may feel to notice subtle impressions.
Before beginning, try:
sitting somewhere quiet
slowing your breathing
relaxing your body
putting your phone away (yes, really!)
allowing your nervous system to settle
As a hypnotherapist, I often see how much easier deeper insight becomes once we soften mental chatter and enter a more relaxed subconscious space.
Sometimes intuition whispers. And we can only hear whispers when things get a little quieter.
Before entering the Akashic Records, imagine yourself surrounded by a beautiful white protective light. This light is often used as a way to create a sense of safety, clarity, and intention, while helping you feel grounded and protected as you connect.
Step 3: Open with an Akashic Records Prayer or Intention
Many people choose to begin with a sacred prayer or opening statement to intentionally access the Akashic Records.
You do not have to say the perfect words.
The goal is intention.
You are simply opening the space with respect and clarity.
Here’s a beginner-friendly version you can try:
“I set the intention to access the Akashic Records for my highest good. I invite wisdom, clarity, healing, and understanding through the Akashic Records. Please allow me to receive only what serves my highest path at this time. Help me understand what I most need to know with compassion, openness, and truth. Thank you for any guidance that is for my highest and greatest good.”
You can say this silently or aloud.
There is no perfect way.
What matters most is sincerity.
Step 4: Ask ONE Question
If you’re new to this…
resist the temptation to ask 37 existential questions at once!
Start with one clear question.
Simple is often better.
You might ask:
What lesson am I learning here?
What fear may be holding me back?
Why does this relationship feel important?
What pattern am I ready to release?
What gift am I not fully seeing in myself?
Sometimes one meaningful answer creates more clarity than ten scattered questions.
Step 5: Notice What Comes Through
Guidance may arrive differently than expected.
It could look like:
an image
a phrase
an emotion
a sudden knowing
a memory
a metaphor
physical sensations
And sometimes… nothing obvious happens at first.
That’s okay.
Really.
Sometimes insight unfolds later. You may suddenly connect the dots during a walk, a dream, journaling, or a random Tuesday afternoon. Try not to force it. The more relaxed you become, the more naturally things often flow.
What If You Feel Blocked?
Many people assume they’re “doing it wrong.”
But honestly?
The biggest block is often overthinking. Or expecting fireworks. Or being terrified of getting it wrong. Sometimes intuition is less like flipping on a light switch and more like building trust with a quieter part of yourself. Like any relationship, it can deepen over time.
And remember:
We are often very close to our own stories.
Sometimes receiving guidance for ourselves is harder because emotions are involved.
It’s like trying to read the label from inside the jar.
What If You’d Like Help Accessing the Akashic Records?
If you’ve tried connecting on your own and feel unsure, blocked, or overwhelmed, you don’t have to figure it all out alone. Sometimes having someone guide the process can help bring clarity and structure, especially when emotions or repeating life patterns are involved.
Through Spirit Explorations, I offer Akashic Records sessions online and in Los Angeles for those seeking deeper insight around:
✨ relationships
✨ life purpose
✨ recurring patterns
✨ emotional healing
✨ spiritual growth
✨ soul-level guidance
Whether you’re simply curious or navigating a specific question, my approach is grounded, compassionate, and judgment-free. You don’t have to be “super psychic.” You don’t have to have it all figured out. Sometimes all you need is openness… and maybe one really good question.
The goal of accessing the Akashic Records isn’t perfection. It isn’t getting dramatic answers every time. And it certainly isn’t becoming spiritually “advanced.”
The goal is deeper understanding. More awareness. More compassion.
More connection to the invisible threads shaping your life.
Sometimes life begins making more sense when we stop asking:
“Why is this happening to me?”
And begin asking:
“What might this be trying to teach me?”
And who knows…
maybe the Akashic Records have been trying to answer all along.
